President Bongbong Marcos is currently in the United States for a working visit and is expected to push for Philippines' non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Palace spokesperson says the President will also formally ask Philippine Congress for emergency powers to temporarily reduce excise taxes.
